A Bag Of Nails

Temper ?? We generally found people around us who are either short-tempered or high tempered but can we even imagine how this short temper will gradually become high and the high temper will become higher and higher in time. Temper maybe it is short or high is not good for anyone and most of you are agree with this because we lost what we had just because of a lack of control in our temper. Most of the people experienced it in their life and fed up with tried many things to control it. So friends here today I will tell you a simple and short story on this temper so read it at the last and analyze your situation after it.

There once was a boy having a very bad temper. The boy's father was very worried about his son's temper and decided to teach him a lesson, and for this, he gave him a bag of nails once and told him that whenever he feels that he is losing his temper, he must hammer a nail into their wooden fence. On the first day of this task given to the son by his father, the little boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. He was really really mad and frustrated !!

Over the course of the next few weeks of performing this task, the little boy started to control his temper and the number of nails that were hammered into the fence dramatically decreased. It wasn't long before the little boy found it was much easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence. Then, the day finally came when the little boy didn't lose his temper even once, and he became so proud of himself that he did control over his temper and was very happy to feel it, he couldn't wait to tell his father and without making any delay he rushed to his father immediately.

His father was very pleased to know about this and he suggested to his son that he now pull out one nail for each day that he could hold his temper. Several days went by and now finally the day came when the young boy was able to tell his father that all the nails were gone. Now this time again he rushed to his father immediately and told him that all the nails were gone. After knowing this from his son, very gently, the father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence. He said to his son, "Well done little boy, you have done it very nicely but now just look at the holes that were still there into the fence. Though you have pulled out all the nails my son, still you were not able to remove their holes from the fence. The fence will never be the same again as it was earlier." The little boy was listening to his father carefully. The father concluded by saying that "When you say something in anger, they leave permanent scars just like the holes that are not gone with the nails. No matter how many times you say you're sorry, the wounds will still there."

So here the story gets completed and now you got the moral also that you cannot heal the scars you have given to others even after a very hard try so try not to give the scars because always prevention is better than cures.
